HOSTING PARTNER CHANGE WEDNESDAY 20th December from 19-01
On Wednesday the 20th of December, we will be changing our hosting partner from Sentia to ScanNet. This means that there will be a period from 19-01 where the system will be completely unavailable for up to 2 hours. Likewise, in the same period, there can be smaller periods of outage.
We recommend that our customers prepare for the system to be down in the whole period, as a precaution. We also encourage you to inform your members and others that may need this information.
We are sorry about the inconvenience, but we are also looking forward to our new and improved server park.

In order to prepare for this, we have identified an issue with one of our SQL servers that needs to be updated before the move.
That issue we have is the format of one of our drives on the servers that handles WHS and Union data.
On Friday night the 8th of December at 22:00 GMT+1 we will need to take that server offline for a lengthened service window of 3 hours and copy all the data over to a newly formatted drive.
This would impact any data transfer relating to WHS and Union related queries like the sending in of scores, viewing of scores, looking up of members, etc. Any data collected from internal systems for the Union/WHS systems in that service window will be processed after the service window.

We have been made aware by our partner Fortinet that they have identified a critical vulnerability that requires immediate upgrading of perimeter security equipment (Firewall on location or in data center). It is a very critical vulnerability, and therefore, Sentia will immediately start this upgrade.

On Monday (June 21-06-2021) evening GolfBox in conjunction with their hosting partner Sentia will begin moving our environment to new hardware in a new data center.
The move will begin at 18:00 and we expect to be done by 06:00 Tuesday morning, during this time we do not expect any big interruptions in our service although we have been told that small interruptions can occur if the data that is currently being is accessed is being moved at the same time.

Operations should now be back to normal. We are making improvements to our Load Balancer/Firewall. Unfortunately in this process, we had to restart our servers this evening to force the traffic to flow correctly again. The final changes to the new LB/FW will be happening this week which should not require any more restarts.
We are experiencing issues with one of our servers because traffic is not being spread on other servers. We are looking into it with our hosting company.

We are experiencing very long response times on our servers for all GolfBox services.
The cause is due to the fact that our APP load is > 300% of normal traffic.We are working on multiple solutions including allocating more server power to the APP area.
