Problem
I am trying to create a start list with mixed groupings (e.g. one player from each row/category per group), but the result is not what I expected.
Groups are not mixing rows correctly (e.g. A-C-C instead of A-B-C):
The "one player per row per group" restriction only works if there are equal numbers of players in each row. If rows are unequal, the system cannot balance perfectly.
The "players can play in multiple rows" checkbox:
Only tick this if players are registered in more than one *individual* row. If they play in one individual row AND a team row, do NOT tick this — remove it before generating the start list.
Teams and start list — correct order of operations:
- Generate the start list for individual rows first (set group size to number of players, e.g. 3)
- Then create teams: go to Registrations → Calculate teams
- For round 2, if you want the same groups together again, set group size to 1 team
Can I change teams between rounds?
No — for different teams in round 2, you need to set up a separate tournament.
Start list based on previous round:
When creating round 2, golfbox asks if you want to base the start list on the previous round. Selecting "reversed order" locks player positions — they cannot be moved manually afterwards.
