Our well-known and widely used function in GolfBox Tournament, where players for several years have had the opportunity to enter their scores themselves during the round in a tournament, now gets a significant new feature. We have taken a step further and now offer a new version of the popular feature so that it is now also possible to choose to use an electronic signature.
The functionality is basically the same, but now it is better suited to do without the physical scorecard and only use the electronic scorecard. This will, among other things, make the work of the tournament administrators even easier, as they can save even more time on checking scores and signatures.
The new function with electronic signature has been developed to be able to handle the situations that a player may encounter during a round. The function contains, in addition to the signature function itself, among other things:
- Marker selection
- Change of marker in case a player retires
- Possibility to mark a player as retired
- Ongoing conflict management of scores
In case there is a discrepancy between the player's and the marker's score, the electronic scorecard will give a message that there is a discrepancy, which the player and marker must jointly agree on.
When the player and marker agree on the score, it will be possible to complete the scorecard and sign electronically. This will contribute to increased security and control of scores, as well as fewer errors that are only discovered after the tournament is over.
The new feature with an electronic signature does not replace the previously used function but is offered as a supplement. It is therefore still possible to use Player Live Scoring without an electronic signature.
We hope our users will welcome the new Player Live Scoring feature.
